I am often asked, How do you do it? The reason they ask, is they know I have lost my central vision to macular degeneration. My reply to them is that I just do it. I do it because I love the fact that I can see the detail and beauty I miss while taking the photo, once I get home to my computer. On my fairly large LCD screen I am able to see the feathers on the bird, the smile on my grand sons face, the beauty of the flower and the delicate pattern in wispy cloud. I know this does not answer the how, just the why. The how sometimes puzzles me as much as it does the asker of the question. Being legally blind has opened my eyes to beauty in a way that I can not describe in my limited vocabulary, I just know that I do it and that I love it.
